Vanguard Pictures produces AMP Productions' most experimental projects, including the "Wathing" films. These films experiment in a basic way with the concept of defamiliarization, challenging the audience to look at familiar scenes an an unfamiliar way. By filming clips of familiar things at strange angles, the "Watching" films, namely "Summer Watching" (2015), "Autumn Watching" (2016), "Vernal Watching" (2017), and "Vernal Watching" (2018), ask viewers to think about the experience of watching something, and how it differs from the traditional movie-watching experience. Vanguard Pictures more recently diversified its offerings with a plot-driven short film in 2020, "Out of Focus," which experimented with metanarative, the third wall, and using different cameras to develop the story.
